All you need to do as a musician is have enough knowledge in playing chords, holding down a beat, playing that ripping solo or singing like an angel (ideally Grade 2 upwards or equivalent in your chosen instrument).
Band classes are available in age groups of : 9-12yrs / 13-17yrs +. Lessons cost £14.00 per student, per 30 minutes.

You will learn Techniques within popular songs across the decades as a solo artist or band class environment.
Guitarists, Singers, Drummers, Bass Players and Keys players are all invited to join in the fun, learn, enhance your musical skills and knowledge and get a chance to perform at our end of term concerts and more.
Band lessons are led and taught by Ajit Gill, a highly experienced, professional, multi-instrumentalist, musician and teacher.
Ajit has been working in music since a young age and has had the honour of headline at major UK festivals such as Glastonbury and Standon Calling.
Ajit has experience working as a session musician as well as being one half of the nu-jazz duo ‘Vertaal’. The duo have had multiple radio plays and interviews on BBC, opened for Richard Spaven at Cambridge Jazz festival, headlined many Sofar Sound London shows on top of multiple sold out nights at Pizza Express Jazz club, Soho and Ronnie Scott’s jazz club supporting Mark Guiliana (David Bowie), Pete Ray Biggins (Level 42) and their own headline shows.
As well as your weekly Band lessons, HCM Band students are encouraged to take part in our end of term gigs and showcases. This helps students gain experience in playing live and in front of an audience, as well as giving useful experience and a new found confidence.
