TONY MORRIS
Teaches: Piano and guitarTony started taking music lessons at the age of 6, was gigging by the time he was 8 and hasn’t stopped learning, writing, and performing since. His love of the piano was inspired by his Grandmother, herself a well-known London pianist, and from this encouragement came a lifetime love of the instrument.
Playing professionally from the age of 15 and having studied many genres and styles of music he eventually opened a piano shop in Epping in 1996 and began teaching. Passing on the knowledge he had attained through a lifetime of study became a passion and he then became, in 2008, Senior Tutor in Music at Harlow College, where he enjoyed 12 very successful years helping literally hundreds of musicians develop their craft and further their musical careers.
Still involved in the local music scene in a variety of roles; from helping organise music festivals to arranging and promoting new-band nights, as well as continuing to perform with his own band, he is still fascinated by what makes music and musicians tick!
Tony has a Level 7 teaching qualification (DTLLS) and a HND in Music Tech.
