Jack Eggenton

Having received his first drum kit for Christmas, Jack started his musical journey at the age of 9. Growing up with his older sister blaring punk and rock tunes, he initially developed a fast, hard-hitting style of drumming which saw him entering the local gigging circuit with his first band at just 11 years old. Around this time, he enrolled in drum lessons and had his first ever lesson here at HCM in Studio 4.

Jack started studying full-time at HCM on the Level 3 Extended Diploma after leaving school. Surrounding himself with other accomplished and like minded musicians, whilst spending hours each day playing the drums and collaborating, it was at this time that his musicianship and instrumental skills really flourished. 

After touring the country extensively with his bands after leaving HCM, Jack took his career in a new direction and began offering drum tuition which complemented his musical ambitions. Since this decision, Jack has developed a wealth of experience in teaching students of all ages, backgrounds and abilities. Having been a recurring theme throughout his musical life, Jack is excited by the prospect of inspiring a whole host of new musical talent.

Drawing influences from Jazz, Hip-Hop and Funk, Jack is a well-rounded, skilled and experienced musician who has won competitions for his drumming, as well as sessioning for countless artists and studios throughout the country. Jack is now working on an exciting new project; A Psychedelic Pop and Funk trio that will start releasing music later this year.
