HENRY APPLEBY
TEACHES: DRUMSHenry Appleby started drumming in his early teen years and quickly fell in love with it. After playing in bands through school he left at 16 years old to work towards a BTEC in Music Performance at Bath College.
From there he moved to London to study and achieve a bachelor’s degree from the Institute Of Contemporary Music Performance (ICMP) in which he achieved a 2:1.
Since finishing university, Henry has spent the last 10 years travelling the globe performing with various artists on their promotional tours & campaigns. He has been in studios as far east as New York and played festivals as far west as New Zealand and pretty much everywhere in between. He has performed at prestigious venues such as The Royal Albert Hall, London’s O2 Arena & Wembley Arena as well as every arena in the UK, to name a few.
You may have also seen Henry make appearances on TV shows such as Top of the Pops, MTV, X Factor, and Blue Peter. As well as hearing him on BBC Radio 1 & 4, BBC 1Xtra, and Capital FM.
Some of the artists he’s played with include Iggy Azalea, Conor Maynard, and Louisa Johnson supporting the likes of Kylie Minogue, Paul Simon, Nile Rodger’s & Chic, and Pharrell Williams.
Still performing regularly, he now resides in Hertfordshire where he passes on his experience to the younger players, helping shape the next generation of drummers.
