    What You'll Learn

Our bass guitar lessons cover a wide range of styles and techniques, including slapping, popping, hammer-ons, pull-offs, harmonics, and slides. Each lesson is tailored to your experience level and interests, ensuring a personalised approach. The content and format of your lessons will vary based on your individual progress and goals, keeping the learning experience fresh and enjoyable.

    End of Term Gigs

In addition to your lessons, HCM bass students are invited to participate in our end-of-term gigs and showcases. These events offer invaluable experience performing live in front of an audience, helping students build confidence and stage presence, as well as being a great opportunity for friends and family to see the progress made throughout term.

    Exams and Awards

At HCM, we offer graded instrument exams, which allow you to track your improvement over time. Our lessons follow the RSL graded bass guitar syllabus from Debut to Grade 8. For teenage students, bass lessons can also complement activities like the Duke of Edinburgh Award scheme or GCSE Music, adding value to your musical journey.

As an official exam centre for both Trinity and RSL, we provide our students the opportunity to take their graded bass guitar exams on-site, in a familiar and welcoming setting.
