Lessons Overview

This class gives children the opportunity to come together to explore different musical activities in a fun and exciting way. There is a varied programme each week which covers singing, movement, storytelling and many different games and activities. Children develop their understanding of pulse, rhythm and pitch as well as exploring the sounds of percussion instruments and being introduced to the piano. The class is always guaranteed to be lots and lots of fun!

‘Mini Musicians’ encourages stronger communication skills and builds confidence, as well as stimulating creativity. The class is a perfect mix of learning and performing and has been designed to give younger students a good grounding in the basics of music, along with the aspiration to progress to learning a musical instrument as they grow older.

    What You'll Learn

The main goal of ‘Mini Musicians’ is to be fun, exciting and inspiring. By taking part in musical activities with other children, such as action songs, singing games and listening exercises, your child will develop a basic understanding of musical concepts including pitch, melody & rhythm patterns. They’ll also be introduced to instruments including the piano and various members of the percussion family, and will take part regularly in singing.

    End of Term Gigs

In addition to lessons, HCM Mini Musicians students are invited to participate in our end-of-term gigs and showcases. These events offer invaluable experience performing live in front of an audience, helping students build confidence, as well as being a great opportunity for friends and family to see the progress made throughout term.
